Founded by James Weyman, former Manager of Industry Development at the Ontario Media Development Corporation, the company draws on his 30 years of industry experience in development, production, international business development and co-production to work with new and established talent. James also does business development consulting in the domestic and international creative industries, and is a frequent speaker and moderator on industry panels.
About James Weyman
James Weyman is currently President of Barn 12 Inc., a media production and consulting firm based in Toronto, Canada. Barn 12 works with partners to create world class content for multiple platforms and currently has a number of projects in development and production. The company also offers consulting services to promote business development goals for SMEs, corporate and institutional clients.
James has been in the creative industries for over 30 years, acting in a variety of roles including production executive, producer, writer, director, business manager, and consultant.
He is the former Manager of Industry Initiatives at the Ontario Media Development Corporation in Toronto, Canada where he created and delivered innovative programs and services to support the business growth of Canadian entrepreneurs in the cultural media industries, including film, television, music and interactive digital media production and book and magazine publishing. Among other duties James managed the OMDC Export Fund, OMDC Film Fund; the OMDC Book Fund, the OMDC Music Fund, the OMDC Interactive Digital Media Fund and the OMDC Magazine Fund, as well as the Industry Development Program and Innovation and Collaboration Fund. This represented an investment portfolio of over $20 million p.a..
